Sussex morning travel bulletin for Friday, December 18

Gas and water main work across the county may cause delays for motorists today.

There are temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on the A259 Bexhill Road from Bridgeway to Bulverhythe Road in St Leonards.

According to the AA, temporary traffic lights are in place due to water main work on the A268 at B2088.

There are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on the B2165 near The Car Garage.

Outside Hastings, there are temporary traffic lights due to water main work on Sea Road at Pett Level Road.

And in Eastbourne, temporary traffic signals are in place due to telecoms work on Langney Road near The Windsor Tavern.

According to the AA, there are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on A259 Church Street at Victoria Drive in Eastbourne.

In Seaford, there are temporary traffic lights due to a gas leak on A259 Eastbourne Road near Chyngton Lane North.

There are temporary traffic signals due to water main work on A259 South Coast Road between the Toyota dealership and the Peacehaven pub.

Further west, there are temporary traffic lights due to gas main work on B2140 South Terrace around St Augustine Road in Littlehampton.

The AA reports that there are also temporary traffic signals due to gas main work on West Chiltington Road near Panners Drive.

Roadworks are also taking place on the M23 this week during the night from 8pm to 6am until today (Friday, December 18).

There will be lane closures both Northbound and Southbound for various work including landscaping and replanting.
