Amazing Race Australia 2021 looks like the most epic season yet

With everything that has happened in 2020, Amazing Race Australia will be staying down under for its upcoming season.

“There’s only one country you should be exploring and that’s Australia,” reads the latest press release from Channel 10.

“Pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime when The Amazing Race Australia returns to 10 in 2021,” continues the press release.

“From torrid tides to disastrous dust storms, 14 teams of travellers are bracing all the extremes Australia has to offer in pursuit of adventure, and a $250,000 prize.”

In this latest promo, it opens with scenes of the two different, yet beautiful extremes of Australia: the beach and the desert.

The contestants express just how amazing it will be to do the entire race in Australia, reminding viewers of how incredible our country really is.

“What I’m looking forward to most is that the whole world is within Australia… so many hidden treasures and we haven’t explored it yet!” says one contestant.

“This is a great opportunity just to get in my own backyard.”

“Every aspect that can be thrown at you, Australia has it.”

And it’s true. Scenes throughout the promo show the vast sandy desserts and the scary depths of our oceans.

In one scene, contestants on a jet ski go flying over a huge wave.

“I see a boat next to me flying over this wave and their entire crew is in the water now, upside down,” one woman explains as we watch the horrifying scenes.

One very interesting contestant is asked what he would do if he sees a brown snake.

“I’ll tongue kiss a brown snake before I touch a frog any day of the week,” and boy do we hope to see that.

In March, Channel 10 announced they had changed the show’s format from international to domestic travel.

A Channel 10 spokesman told Daily Mail Australia at the time: “The welfare of cast and crew is of the upmost importance and all necessary measures will be taken to ensure their protection.”

Amazing Race Australia will premiere on Channel 10 in 2021.
