Legends face off ahead of blockbuster

Mike Tyson and Roy Jones Jr. have stepped on the scales and officially weighed in ahead of their fight on Sunday.

Watch Mike Tyson vs Roy Jones Jnr only on Main Event, available on Foxtel and Kayo on Sunday 29 November at 1pm AEDT. ORDER NOW >

Tyson hit the scales at an even 100kg, weighing in 4.5kg heavier than his opponent, Jones Jr.

The former “Baddest Man on the Planet” was relaxed as he stripped down and said he planned on going after Jones Jr. from the opening bell.

“I’m pitching punches,” he said.

“Everything else is up to Roy. I’m coming at him. He doesn’t have to worry about me. If I’m running anywhere, I’m going to run right at him.”

Former four-division world champion Jones Jr. was keen to not give too much away after stepping off the scales, but did break down during Friday’s press conference how he planned on going after the former heavyweight champion.

“I want to come out early, figure out my ways to attack him. He’s very dangerous when he’s at his distance,” he said.

“He knows my combinations, but not the speed or velocity. He won’t be knowing how I’m throwing them.

“We both want to beat each other up.”

The fight before the two legends throw down sees YouTube star Jake Paul take on former NBA star Nate Robinson. A bout that is drawing it’s own heavy amount of attention.

After a year of trash talk between the pair, they finally came face-to-face on Saturday after weighing-in for their fight.

Paul raised eyebrows by stepping onto the scales wearing a Dragon Ball Super Saiyan wig and continued to jaw at Robinson.

The fight was originally down to take place in September, but was pushed back due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

It will now take place on Sunday, November 29 with the coverage beginning at 1pm (AEDT).

Eager fans can book the fight through Main Event for $59.95, with the fight also able to be booked through Kayo for those without Foxtel.

The PPV purchase allows access to Kayo until 3rd December at 11:59:59PM AEDT and can be made even without a separate Kayo subscription.
